The recruitment of exceptional postgraduate students from the UK and around the world is central to our research philosophy. Students are active across the range of research subgroups and are funded from a range of sources (for example: self funded, industry, charity, sport as well as Welsh, UK and EU government). Our research students have access to state-of-the-art facilities; have dedicated office space and are encouraged to present their work at national and international conferences.
We welcome UK and International applications for PhD or Masters by Research study in one of our areas of expertise. You can study full or part time, on campus or remotely (depending on your area). If you're a professional with an existing body of work, you may be eligible for a PhD by Portfolio. We also offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate sport degrees.
Postgraduate researchers are assigned a supervisory team who have the expertise and experience to support them in their studies. Supervisors will help you to shape your doctoral research project, advise you on creating networks and establishing your career.
